Unspoiled and unhurried, Tulum is about 90 miles south of Cancún. Tulum activities and Tulum things to do undoubtedly will include a visit to its spectacular beach, which stretches for roughly six miles with glorious water between 75 and 80 degrees year-round, and its ancient Mayan ruins located atop seaside cliffs, regarded as the most scenic ruin sites on the Yucatan.
Jump on one of our beach cruisers – the preferred mode of transportation in laidback Tulum – and peddle with us to Tulum’s breathtakingly beautiful white sand beaches with their crystal clear, inviting waters and balmy ocean breezes. Relax on the beach, jump in the water and cool off, join us for some kayaking and paddleboarding, or walk along the beach beneath the Tulum Ruins.
Tulum biking is not confined to rides to the beach -- cruise along Tulum’s beach road and its beautiful small boutiques, or take a 10 minute ride to Tulum town with its cute shops full of sombreros, trinkets, Mexican tablecloths, silver wear, and hand-painted ceramics. A short bike ride will also take you to the ruins of Tulum perched over a rugged coastline, a strip of brilliant beach and green-and-turquoise waters that will leave you floored. If leisurely biking leaves you wishing for a more focussed work out, we offer private training on the beach or where you are staying for visitors and expats.
Tulum activities encompass more than its beautiful beaches, town, and ruins – for instance, the Muyil river float is the perfect way to experience the beauty and tranquility of Tulum’s Sian Ka’an Biosphere located at the end of the Tulum beach road. As you are float through the crystal clear spring waters of the Mayan Canal, the current gently carries you down stream. Don’t be surprised if you feel reinvigorated and renewed -- local legend says that these spring-fed waters have magical healing powers.
